Near Elm Hill there is a little garden with a view of the river Wensum. So we decided to sketch. Daniel concentrated on the Fye Bridge and I concentrated on the Blackfriars Bridge also known as St. Georges Bridge on the other side. Fye Bridge was opened in 1933 and there are records of a bridge on this site in 1153, being the oldest knowing point to cross the River Wensum. The St. Georges Bridge was rebuilt 3 times since it was built for the first time in the beginning of the 15th century. The current bridge was built in 1783.
